As announced on the Vertically Striped Radio program yesterday, here are the official nominees for the 2009 Vertically Striped Awards for Excellence in the Field of Excellence. More commonly known as "The Sockies." This is a very prestigious award, you can't just win by being a monkey or anything.
There are a couple of ways that YOU can get involved in the Sockies this year. Most of the Awards are being decided by the members of The Vertically Striped Academy of Arts, Sciences, and other Neato Stuff however, you can help decide the categories for Best Radio Show and also Sports Idiot of the Year.
Best Radio Show is being decided completely by the vote on Dameshek.com, you can click here to vote. Also, you can vote for Sports Idiot of the Year on VerticallyStripedSocks.com this week look over to the right side of the page for the ballot. Your votes will help decide the winner of "Sports Idiot of the Year." The voting closes at 3:00 Mountain time on Saturday the 11th of July, so be sure to vote!
